A message from Badria, our founder
Since I was a little girl, hair has been interlinked with my life in profound ways.
From wearing the hijab when I was younger, and experiencing the deep cultural struggle of parting with it, to learning to navigate the discomfort of showing up as my true self.
In the creation of Holy Curls, I travelled around Africa - a journey that connected me deeply to the land and the abundance of nourishing ingredients from Mama Earth.
I discovered so much about ancient hair care practices and ultimately myself. After years of chemically treating my hair, I decided to cut it all off, shed pretences, and show up in the world as my authentic self. This transformative experience was sacred to me, inspiring the name Holy Curls.
I launched Holy Curls with the intention of spreading love and empowerment through ethical and high performing products to support your hair care journey. Through the process, I've learned that the significance of hair goes far beyond its physical aspects. Something our industry often overlooks.
